Battle of the connectors – Microsoft Dataverse vs F&O apps
Writing on his Dynamicspedia blog, André Arnaud De Calavon stated that over the past few years, Microsoft has worked hard to bring its different platforms closer together.
He noted that this has made it easier for professional developers and citizen developers to customize and build on Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations apps.
Arnaud De Calavon wrote that one key improvement was making D365 F&O data available as virtual tables in Dataverse. For several years there has been a special connector available for D365 F&O for server, and he has run into a few issues over time.
In his blog post, Arnaud De Calavon described some challenges using the special connector available for D365 F&O as well as information about using the Dataverse connector. He then listed some of the differences between the connectors that you should be aware of.
